                     BUMI Wins Prestigious International Awards

Jakarta, 12th March 2025

PT BUMI Resources Tbk (BUMI) proudly won two prestigious awards in Southeast Asian level in The
17th Annual Global CSR & ESG Summit and Awards in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, on February 26 th, 2025.
BUMI won the Best Community Programme Award and the Empowerment of Women Award. These two
awards result from BUMI's success in implementing CSR programs that positively impact society and the
environment.

The main criteria in the judging process are based on the program's impact on the community,
sustainability, innovation, and contribution to the SDGs. BUMI submitted a program summary and
supporting documentation, including achievement reports, evidence of program implementation, and
results that the community has felt and that were assessed by the organisers and the jury.

For The Best Community Programme Awards, BUMI submitted Community Based Waste Management
Program in Kebalen, Bekasi. The program has been running since 2019 and has continued independently
by the community since 2022. In its second year, the program processed 10 tons of waste. The amount of
waste processed has now reached 82.1 tons, equivalent to a reduction in carbon emissions of 0.1 Gg
CO2eq. The amount of waste managed has almost doubled in the last four years, showing the program's
effectiveness in community-based waste management. In addition, the program has involved more than
624 families.

From an economic perspective, in its second year, the program generated revenue of Rp20,789,000.
Cumulatively, from 2020 to 2024, the total revenue from the sale of recycled products reached
Rp183,410,000.

Meanwhile, in the Empowerment of Woman Awards category, BUMI submitted the Economic
Empowerment for People with Disabilities program in Bogor Regency. This program focuses on 150
beneficiaries, including 62 women with disabilities or who have families with disabilities. The program
results show that 137 of the 150 beneficiaries are still running their businesses to date and 61 recipients
experienced an increase in income of 50–100%. This program has helped women with disabilities become
more independent, increased economic access, and encouraged the use of digital technology in their
businesses.
