Uraian Informasi atau Fakta Material PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGE) yang merupakan
bagian dari Subholding Power & New Renewable Energy
(Pertamina NRE) PT Pertamina (Persero), dan Sinopec Star
Co, Ltd. (Sinopec Star), anak perusahaan China
Petrochemical Corporation (Sinopec Group) berkolaborasi
dalam pengembangan dan pemanfaatan energi panas bumi.
Perjanjian kerja sama yang telah ditandatangani kedua belah
pihak adalah dalam rangka pengembangan energi panas bumi
baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung, serta peluang
dalam pengembangan hidrogen hijau di Indonesia, Tiongkok,
dan pasar global potensial lainnya. Sinopec Star memiliki
keunggulan dalam pemanfaatan panas bumi dengan suhu
menengah dan rendah untuk district heating dan telah
melakukan pengembangan hydrogen plant. Sementara PGE
memiliki pengalaman yang cukup panjang dalam pemanfaatan
panas bumi dengan suhu tinggi untuk pembangkitan listrik di
Indonesia. Keunggulan kompetitif kedua belah pihak akan
dikombinasikan sehingga dapat mengambil peluang dalam
setiap pemanfaatan cascading energy dan juga
pengembangan beyond energy.
Selain itu, kedua perusahaan juga akan bertukar keahlian
teknis, praktik terbaik, dan wawasan operasional untuk
meningkatkan aspek teknik atau engineering panas bumi dan
teknologi panas bumi.
Direktur Utama PGE, Julfi Hadi, menegaskan, Kolaborasi ini
sejalan dengan strategi PGE untuk memaksimalkan potensi
panas bumi dan berkontribusi dalam transisi energi bersih di
Indonesia. Dengan memanfaatkan keahlian yang kami miliki,
kami bertujuan untuk mempercepat pengembangan dan
mendorong inovasi di bidang panas bumi.
Presiden Sinopec Star, Fan Chuanhong, mengatakan, Energi
panas bumi merupakan pilar utama dari portofolio energi
terbarukan Sinopec Star. Kemitraan ini memungkinkan kami
untuk berbagi keahlian, memajukan teknologi, dan
berkontribusi pada pengembangan energi berkelanjutan di
Indonesia dan negara-negara lain.
Acara penandatanganan kerja sama yang diselenggarakan di
kantor pusat Sinopec Star di Beijing ini menandai komitmen
kedua perusahaan untuk memajukan energi panas bumi
sebagai pendorong utama transisi energi global.

Description of Material Information or PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGE), part of the
Facts Subholding Power & New Renewable Energy (Pertamina
NRE) of PT Pertamina (Persero), has partnered with Sinopec
Star Co., Ltd. (Sinopec Star), a subsidiary of China
Petrochemical Corporation (Sinopec Group), to advance
collaboration in geothermal energy development and
utilization.
The signed agreement covers both direct and indirect
geothermal energy applications, as well as opportunities in
green hydrogen development across Indonesia, China, and
other potential global markets. Sinopec Star brings expertise in
medium- and low-temperature geothermal utilization for district
heating and has experience in hydrogen plant development.
Meanwhile, PGE has extensive experience in high-
temperature geothermal energy utilization for electricity
generation in Indonesia. By combining their competitive
advantages, both companies aim to capitalize on cascading
energy applications and explore opportunities beyond
conventional energy use.
Additionally, this partnership will facilitate the exchange of
technical expertise, best practices, and operational insights to
enhance geothermal engineering and technology
advancements.
President Director of PGE Julfi Hadi emphasized, This
collaboration aligns with PGEs strategy to maximize
geothermal potential and contribute to Indonesias clean
energy transition. By leveraging our expertise, we aim to
accelerate development and drive innovation in geothermal
energy.
President of Sinopec Star Fan Chuanhong said, Geothermal
energy is a key pillar of Sinopec Stars renewable energy
portfolio. This partnership enables us to share expertise,
advances technology, and contribute to sustainable energy
development in Indonesia and beyond.
The signing ceremony was held at Sinopec Stars headquarter
in Beijing. Before signing, both teams visited Sinopec Stars
geothermal facility in Xiongan New Area, China. This MoU
underscores both companies commitment to strengthening
Indonesia-China cooperation in renewable energy and
advancing geothermal energy as a key driver of the global
energy transition.
