Uraian Informasi atau Fakta Material PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGE) (IDX: PGEO)
dan PT Pertamina Gas (Pertagas) berkolaborasi dalam kajian
pengembangan bahan bakar hijau. Inisiatif ini diwujudkan
dalam Joint Study Agreement bertajuk Penggunaan Listrik dari
Panas Bumi untuk Beyond Energy, yang merupakan bagian
dari sinergi Pertamina Group dalam mendukung agenda
dekarbonisasi.
Penandatanganan Joint Study Agreement ini dihadiri oleh
Direktur Strategi Portofolio dan Pengembangan Usaha PT
Pertamina (Persero), A. Salyadi Saputra, Direktur Strategi dan
Pengembangan Bisnis PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN)
Rosa Permata Sari, Direktur Proyek dan Operasi Pertamina
New & Renewable Energy (Pertamina NRE) Norman Ginting,
serta Direktur Utama dan jajaran Direksi PGE dan Pertagas
yang berlangsung di Grha Pertamina pada Rabu (05/02).
PGE, dengan kapasitas besar pembangkit listrik tenaga panas
bumi, mampu menyediakan listrik rendah emisi yang
mendukung produksi hidrogen hijau dan amonia hijau yang
hijau dapat dimanfaatkan dalam berbagai sektor, terutama
untuk industri dan transportasi.
Sementara itu, Pertagas sebagai perusahaan infrastruktur
penyaluran energi nasional, yang mengelola 2.930 km pipa
transmisi gas terpanjang di Indonesia, memiliki keahlian dalam
pengelolaan infrastruktur energi yang dapat dimanfaatkan
untuk penyimpanan dan distribusi kedua bahan bakar hijau
tersebut.
Pemanfaatan listrik dari panas bumi dalam produksi hidrogen
hijau dan amonia hijau akan membantu industri dan sektor
transportasi dalam upaya dekarbonisasi. Inisiatif ini juga
sejalan dengan target pemerintah dalam meningkatkan bauran
energi terbarukan dan memperkuat ketahanan energi nasional
melalui diversifikasi sumber energi, terutama dari energi
terbarukan.
Direktur Strategi Portofolio dan Pengembangan Usaha PT
Pertamina (Persero), A. Salyadi Saputra menyatakan,
Kolaborasi antara PGE dan Pertagas akan mempercepat
pengembangan hidrogen hijau dan amonia hijau serta menjadi
landasan bagi Pertamina dalam membangun green energy
hub. Saat ini, belum ada pemain dominan di energi hijau.
Dengan membawa mandat mewujudkan ketahanan energi dan
hilirisasi industri, Pertamina berpeluang menjadi pemain utama
energi hijau, tidak hanya karena skala ekonominya, tetapi juga
melalui pendekatan economics of speed-kecepatan dalam
pengembangan teknologi serta optimalisasi infrastruktur dan
rantai pasok.
Kerja sama energi ini mencakup berbagai aspek, di antaranya
pertukaran informasi teknis yang mencakup analisis kondisi
operasi, komposisi thermal, elektrolisis, serta identifikasi
potensi pasar dan data terkait lainnya. Selain itu, kedua
perusahaan akan berkolaborasi dalam melakukan kajian
teknis seperti evaluasi kelayakan proyek dan identifikasi
skema penggunaan listrik panas bumi untuk menghasilkan
hidrogen hijau dan amonia hijau.
Direktur Utama PGE Julfi Hadi menyatakan, Sinergi antara
PGE dan Pertagas akan mempercepat pengembangan
potensi energi panas bumi sebagai sumber energi bersih.
Pengembangan energi panas bumi merupakan langkah
strategis dalam mewujudkan swasembada energi nasional
serta mendukung upaya dekarbonisasi industri dan transisi
energi di Pertamina Group. Ini sejalan dengan komitmen PGE
sebagai pemimpin industri panas bumi dan peran Pertagas
yang membuka cakrawala dalam berbagai peluang bisnis baru
untuk mendukung Pertamina menjadi green energy giant.

Kolaborasi PGE dan Pertagas dalam produksi bahan bakar
hijau merupakan bagian dari strategi PGE untuk tidak hanya
mengembangkan energi panas bumi di sektor hulu, tetapi juga
memperluas pemanfaatannya di hilir melalui pembangunan
ekosistem industri hijau yang terintegrasi termasuk hidrogen
hijau.
Sementara itu, Direktur Utama Pertagas Gamal Imam Santoso
menambahkan, Sebagai bagian dari Pertamina Group,
Pertagas siap berkontribusi dalam pengembangan
infrastruktur yang mendukung ekosistem energi hijau.
Kolaborasi dengan PGE ini merupakan langkah penting untuk
memulai upaya memasok hidrogen hijau dan amonia hijau ke
pasar domestik maupun ekspor. Gamal juga menekankan
bahwa langkah ini nantinya akan semakin memperluas
portofolio bisnis kedua perusahaan.
Setelah kajian teknis selesai, PGE dan Pertagas akan
melanjutkan ke studi kelayakan untuk meninjau berbagai
aspek proyek, termasuk potensi investasi dan pengembangan
skema bisnis, alokasi sumber daya serta pemilihan teknologi
yang tepat, dan tata waktu implementasi. Proyek kerja sama
ini akan dilaksanakan di Wilayah Kerja Panas Bumi (WKP)
yang dikelola oleh PGE, dengan mempertimbangkan lokasi
yang memiliki potensi optimal untuk mendukung produksi
hidrogen hijau dan amonia hijau.
Dengan adanya sinergi ini, Pertagas dan PGE semakin
memperkuat peran Pertamina Group dalam mendukung
agenda transisi energi nasional dan berkontribusi dalam
pencapaian target emisi nol pada tahun 2060.

Description of Material Information or PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGE) (IDX: PGEO)
Facts and PT Pertamina Gas (Pertagas) collaborate in a study on
the development of green fuels. This initiative is realized in a
Joint Study Agreement entitled Use of Geothermal Electricity
for Beyond Energy, which is part of the Pertamina Group's
synergy in supporting the decarbonization agenda.
The signing of the Joint Study Agreement was attended by the
Director of Portfolio Strategy and Business Development of PT
Pertamina (Persero), A. Salyadi Saputra, Director of Strategy
and Business Development of PT Perusahaan Gas Negara
(PGN) Rosa Permata Sari, Director of Projects and Operations
of Pertamina New & Renewable Energy (Pertamina NRE)
Norman Ginting, as well as the President Director and Board of
Directors of PGE and Pertagas which took place at Grha
Pertamina on Wednesday (05/02).
PGE, with its large capacity of geothermal power plants, is
able to provide low-emission electricity that supports the
production of green hydrogen and green ammonia which can
be utilized in various sectors, especially for industry and
transportation.
Meanwhile, Pertagas as a national energy distribution
infrastructure company, which manages 2,930 km of the
longest gas transmission pipeline in Indonesia, has expertise
in managing energy infrastructure that can be utilized for the
storage and distribution of both green fuels.
Utilization of electricity from geothermal energy in the
production of green hydrogen and green ammonia will help
industry and the transportation sector in decarbonization
efforts. This initiative is also in line with the government's
target of increasing the renewable energy mix and
strengthening national energy security through diversification
of energy sources, especially from renewable energy.
Director of Portfolio Strategy and Business Development of PT
Pertamina (Persero), A. Salyadi Saputra stated, Collaboration
between PGE and Pertagas will accelerate the development of
green hydrogen and green ammonia and become a foundation
for Pertamina in building a green energy hub. Currently, there
is no dominant player in green energy. By carrying the
mandate to realize energy security and industrial
downstreaming, Pertamina has the opportunity to become a
major player in green energy, not only because of its economic
scale, but also through the economics of speed approach in
technology development and optimization of infrastructure and
supply chains.
This energy cooperation covers various aspects, including the
exchange of technical information covering analysis of
operating conditions, thermal composition, electrolysis, as well
as identification of market potential and other related data. In
addition, the two companies will collaborate in conducting
technical studies such as project feasibility evaluation and
identification of geothermal electricity usage schemes to
produce green hydrogen and green ammonia.
PGE President Director Julfi Hadi stated that the synergy
between PGE and Pertagas will accelerate the development of
geothermal energy potential as a clean energy source. The
development of geothermal energy is a strategic step in
realizing national energy self-sufficiency and supporting
industrial decarbonization efforts and energy transition in the
Pertamina Group. This is in line with PGE's commitment as a
leader in the geothermal industry and Pertagas' role in opening
horizons in various new business opportunities to support
Pertamina in becoming a green energy giant.
The collaboration between PGE and Pertagas in the

production of green fuel is part of PGE's strategy to not only
develop geothermal energy in the upstream sector, but also
expand its utilization downstream through the development of
an integrated green industrial ecosystem including green
hydrogen.
Meanwhile, Pertagas President Director Gamal Imam Santoso
added, As part of the Pertamina Group, Pertagas is ready to
contribute to the development of infrastructure that supports
the green energy ecosystem. This collaboration with PGE is an
important step to start efforts to supply green hydrogen and
green ammonia to the domestic and export markets. Gamal
also emphasized that this step will further expand the business
portfolio of both companies.
After the technical study is completed, PGE and Pertagas will
proceed to a feasibility study to review various aspects of the
project, including investment potential and business scheme
development, resource allocation and selection of the right
technology, and implementation timeline. This collaboration
project will be implemented in the Geothermal Working Area
(WKP) managed by PGE, considering locations that have
optimal potential to support the production of green hydrogen
and green ammonia.
With this synergy, Pertagas and PGE are further strengthening
the role of the Pertamina Group in supporting the national
energy transition agenda and contributing to achieving the
zero emission target by 2060.
