Uraian Informasi atau Fakta Material PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGE) (IDX: PGEO)
dengan bangga mengumumkan dimulainya proyek eksplorasi
di wilayah Gunung Tiga melalui kick-off yang dilaksanakan di
rencana lokasi wellpad sumur eksplorasi yang terletak di Desa
Gunung Tiga, Kecamatan Ulubelu, Kabupaten Tanggamus,
Provinsi Lampung (17/12). Eksplorasi ini bertujuan untuk
membuktikan potensi cadangan energi panas bumi sebesar 55
Megawatt (MW) yang diharapkan dapat menjadi sumber baru
energi bersih yang akan mendukung ketahanan energi
nasional serta target transisi energi menuju net zero emission
pada tahun 2060.
Direktur Eksplorasi dan Pengembangan PGE Edwil Suzandi
menyampaikan bahwa kick-off proyek pengembangan Wilayah
Kerja Panas Bumi Gunung Tiga ini merupakan tonggak
penting dalam upaya mengembangkan energi panas bumi di
Indonesia. Kami optimistis bahwa eksplorasi ini akan
membuktikan cadangan sekitar 55 MW, yang tidak hanya
menambah kapasitas energi terbarukan, tetapi juga menjadi
bentuk komitmen kami untuk menghidupkan ekosistem,
memberdayakan masyarakat, dan mendorong roda
perekonomian di wilayah Lampung dan Sumatra. Bersama,
melalui sinergi dan kolaborasi, kita tidak hanya mewujudkan
energi hijau untuk bangsa, tetapi juga menciptakan warisan
berharga bagi generasi mendatang, ujar Edwil Suzandi.
Gunung Tiga dipilih sebagai salah satu lokasi strategi proyek
eksplorasi PGE yang dimulai pada tahun 2024 ini karena
karakteristik panas bumi serta potensinya yang menjanjikan.

(Gunung Tiga) Sapto Trianggo menambahkan bahwa, Proyek
eksplorasi ini mencakup pelaksanaan tiga sumur eksplorasi
yang akan dilakukan secara bertahap sesuai dengan standar
keselamatan dan lingkungan yang berlaku, ujar Sapto.
Proyek ini juga melibatkan kolaborasi erat dengan masyarakat
setempat untuk memastikan manfaat ekonomi, sosial, dan
lingkungan yang berkelanjutan. Sebagai bagian dari komitmen
terhadap keberlanjutan, proyek ini akan dijalankan dengan
memprioritaskan aspek perlindungan lingkungan dan
pengelolaan risiko. Hal ini sejalan dengan dukungan
masyarakat sekitar area eksplorasi, khususnya Desa Gunung
Tiga, yang antusias menyambut keberadaan proyek ini. Studi
dampak lingkungan (AMDAL) telah dilakukan sebelumnya,
dan semua kegiatan eksplorasi akan diawasi ketat untuk
meminimalkan dampak negatif terhadap ekosistem sekitar.
Proyek eksplorasi ini merupakan salah satu langkah strategis
PGE untuk mendukung target swasembada energi Indonesia
serta membuka peluang baru dalam pengembangan energi
panas bumi sekaligus menciptakan lapangan kerja bagi
masyarakat lokal, mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi wilayah,
dan mempercepat transisi Indonesia menuju masa depan
energi yang lebih hijau dan berkelanjutan.

Description of Material Information or PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGE) (IDX: PGEO) is
Facts pleased to announce the commencement of its exploration
project in the Gunung Tiga area through a kick-off held at the
exploration wellpad location plan located in Gunung Tiga
Village, Ulubelu District, Tanggamus Regency, Lampung
Province (17/12). This exploration aims to prove the potential
of geothermal energy reserves of 55 Megawatts (MW) which is
expected to become a new source of clean energy that will
support national energy security and the energy transition
target towards net zero emission by 2060.
PGE Exploration and Development Director Edwil Suzandi
said that the kick-off of the Gunung Tiga Geothermal Working
Area development project is an important milestone in the
effort to develop geothermal energy in Indonesia. We are
optimistic that this exploration will prove reserves of
approximately 55 MW, which not only adds to our renewable
energy capacity, but also serves as a form of our commitment
to revive the ecosystem, empower the community, and drive
the economy in Lampung and Sumatra. Together, through
synergy and collaboration, we not only realize green energy for
the nation, but also create a valuable legacy for future
generations, said Edwil Suzandi.
Gunung Tiga was chosen as one of the strategic locations for
PGE's exploration project that started in 2024 due to its
geothermal characteristics and promising potential. Project
Manager of the Ulubelu Extension 1 (Gunung Tiga)
Exploration Project Sapto Trianggo added that the exploration
project includes the implementation of three exploration wells
that will be carried out in stages in accordance with applicable
safety and environmental standards, Sapto said.
The project also involves close collaboration with local
communities to ensure sustainable economic, social and
environmental benefits. As part of the commitment to
sustainability, the project will be executed by prioritizing
aspects of environmental protection and risk management.
This is in line with the support of the community around the
exploration area, particularly Gunung Tiga Village, which
enthusiastically welcomes the project. Environmental impact
studies (AMDAL) have been conducted previously, and all
exploration activities will be closely monitored to minimize
negative impacts on the surrounding ecosystem.
This exploration project is one of PGE's strategic steps to
support Indonesia's energy self-sufficiency target and open
new opportunities in geothermal energy development while
creating jobs for local communities, driving regional economic
growth, and accelerating Indonesia's transition to a greener
and more sustainable energy future.
