BUMI Supports Education Transformation through Teacher Training
                              Programs

Jakarta, 26th November 2024

PT Bumi Resources Tbk. (BUMI) has once again shows its commitment to corporate social
responsibility (CSR) by launching its newest program in the education sector. BUMI, in
collaboration with GuruInovatif.id, held a CSR program themed “BUMI BERDAYA: Moving to
Increase Innovation, Together to Strive” which was held at D'Prima Hotel Tangerang (21/11).
This program aims to improve the quality of teaching at the elementary and middle school level
through intensive training and workshops that focus on the Kurikulum Merdeka.

The opening event of the program was attended by 120 participants, including representatives of
the Education Department, Ministry of Religion, and BUMI Management. This program targets
24 schools in Tangerang with 120 beneficiary teachers who will receive training in developing
teaching skills. One of the main focuses of the training is learning plan using models that are
more interesting and suitable to student needs so that teachers could inspire and motivate
students more effectively.

The program will last for eight months, starting with two months of intensive training focused on
improving teachers' teaching skills, including innovative learning methods, educational
technology, and project-based approaches. After that, the program will continue with six months
of monitoring sessions through the membership program, where teachers will continue to receive
direct support and guidance to implement the things they have learned in the training program.

Renova Viscky, Vice President of Risk Management, GCG, and Sustainability at BUMI, in his
speech said, “PT Bumi Resources Tbk. is committed to continue to provide a positive impact on
society through programs that are based on the education pillar. Through BUMI BERDAYA, we
hope to contribute to creating teachers who are more innovative and able to maximize the
potential of the nation's children.”

The priority needs for education is not only teaching materials, but also mastery of innovative
learning methods. This program is expected to have a greater impact, where teachers are able to
apply methods that can increase students' understanding and involvement in the learning process.

“Hopefully, this effort can be a real step in improving the quality of education, and encourage us
all to continue moving forward together in building a generation with empowerment and
character,” Renova Viscky concluded.

The BUMI BERDAYA program is a continuation of BUMI's CSR program in the education
pillar, which in 2019 started the Digital Library program for 70 schools in the Bekasi Regency,
Tangerang Regency and Bogor Regency. This time, by collaborating with GuruInovatif.id as a
partner, PT Bumi Resources Tbk. emphasizes its commitment to continue to support the
improvement of quality education, especially in the Tangerang Regency area, with a main focus
on teachers as agents of change in the world of education.

This program is part of BUMI's efforts to support the achievement of SDG 4, which is Quality
Education, by providing equal and quality access to education. This step aims to realize relevant
and effective learning.
