Responsibility at Indonesia CSR Awards 2024

PT Bumi Resources Tbk. (BUMI) has once again proven its commitment to implementing
corporate social responsibility. Because of its innovation and commitment in implementing CSR,
BUMI was conferred an award at the Indonesia CSR Awards 2024 held by Warta Ekonomi on
Friday, September 27th, 2024. At this event, BUMI succeeded in winning the Best Corporate
Social and Environmental Responsibility Awards 2024 for Increasing Positive Impacts through
Sustainable Initiatives for the Energy and Mining Industry category.
The assessment for this award is carried out based on the company's CSR performance contained
in sustainability report, printed, and online media. BUMI's CSR programs that serve as the basis
for the assessment include the community-based waste management program in Urban Vilage of
Kebalen and the coral reef conservation program in Pulau Tunda, Serang Regency, Banten.
Each of the CSR programs has positive impact on the environment and the social life of the local
communities. Through the waste management program in Kebalen, BUMI succeeded in
establishing 8 waste banks which managed more than 55 tons of organic and inorganic waste.
Through the coral reef conservation program, BUMI plants 300 shell fragments which is
monitored regularly every month. Apart from that, BUMI also released two boya pintar to
improve the monitoring quality of coral reef ecosystems and increase the accuracy of tourism
navigation.
The award won by BUMI in the Indonesia CSR Awards 2024 prove BUMI's commitment to
building a greener and more sustainable future. BUMI, through its CSR program, consistently
supports the achievement of sustainable development goals (SDGs) and committed to fulfilling
Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles in running its business.
