BUMI Subsidiary Arutmin Provides Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Training

Jakarta, 25th September 2024

PT Arutmin Indonesia (Arutmin), a subsidiary of PT Bumi Resources Tbk. (BUMI), shows its
commitment to developing micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in its operational
areas. This time, Arutmin Kintap held training related to product packaging. In collaboration with
Rumah Kemasan Banjar and Dinas Koperasi Usaha Mikro Perindustrian dan Perdagangan Banjar
Regency, this training was held for three days, starting from 24 to 26 July 2024.

Through this training, MSME businessmen learn the importance of product packaging and how to
select materials and packaging designs that can attract consumer attention. The training
participants admitted that they were helped by this training. Previously, product packaging was
not a major concern for MSMEs. However, after attending this training, they realized that
packaging is important to increase the selling value of a product.

Besides product packaging training, this training also taught participants about the process of
registering for household food industry certification (PIRT). PIRT certification is an important
requirement for selling food products in accordance with government regulations. With a PIRT
certificate, MSME business actors can sell their products more freely.

Lutfi Qolbirokhim (KTT Tambang Kintap) said that, “through this training, MSME businessmen
will be more confident in developing their businesses and able to compete in a wider market.”

Furthermore, President Director of BUMI, Adika Nuraga Bakrie, conveyed that “BUMI encourage
and support Arutmin in its ongoing efforts to strengthen its CSR program by initiatives such as
these. Through this initiative, Arutmin did one aspect its community development and
empowerment program, which is education.”
