Uraian Informasi atau Fakta Material Kolaborasi antar-pemangku kepentingan merupakan salah
satu kunci utama untuk mempercepat pengembangan energi
panas bumi di Indonesia. Sebagai penggerak utama
pengembangan energi panas bumi, PT Pertamina Geothermal
Energy Tbk (PGE) memperkuat kolaborasi melalui berbagai
kerja sama strategis dengan beragam mitra dan pemangku
kepentingan kunci di ajang Indonesia International Geothermal
Convention & Exhibition (IIGCE) 2024.
Direktur Utama PGE Julfi Hadi menekankan bahwa
kesuksesan dalam pengembangan energi panas bumi sangat
bergantung pada kolaborasi dengan pemangku kepentingan
serta inovasi teknologi yang tepat. PGE sebagai main engine
pengembangan sektor panas bumi berkomitmen untuk
bersinergi dengan berbagai pihak. Melalui kolaborasi dan
teknologi terkini, kita dapat memaksimalkan potensi energi
panas bumi Indonesia, menjawab tantangan global menuju
energi bersih dan ramah lingkungan. ujar Julfi Hadi.
Pada hari pertama IIGCE 2024 (18/9), PGE menandatangani
dua kerja sama strategis terkait pengembangan proyek panas
bumi, di antaranya:
Consortium Agreement of Co-generation Cooperation antara
PGE dan PT PLN Indonesia Power. Kerja sama yang
pendatanganannya disaksikan oleh Menteri Energi dan
Sumber Daya Mineral Bahlil Lahadalia, Direktur Utama PT
Pertamina (Persero) Nicke Widyawati, dan Direktur Utama PT
PLN (Persero) Darmawan Prasodjo, ini bertujuan
meningkatkan kapasitas yang ada di beberapa pembangkit
listrik tenaga panas bumi (PLTP) PGE melalui proses co-
generation, yang berpotensi menambah kapasitas mencapai
230 MW. Tahap awal kerja sama co-generation akan
menambah kapasitas sebesar 45 MW, yaitu di PLTP
Lahendong Binary Unit (15 MW) dan PLTP Ulubelu Binary Unit
(30 MW) dengan investasi USD 165 juta.
Nota kesepahaman (MoU) antara PGE dengan Geothermal
Development Company (GDC), sebuah badan usaha milik
Pemerintah Kenya. PGE dan GDC berkolaborasi untuk
menjajaki pengembangan Lapangan panas bumi Suswa.
Proyek di Kenya ini memiliki potensi kapasitas untuk
dikembangkan sampai 100 MW.
Pada hari kedua IIGCE 2024 (19/9), PGE juga
menandatangani sejumlah kerja sama untuk menciptakan
ekosistem manufaktur, jasa, dan teknologi terdepan di industri
panas bumi. Ini sejalan dengan komitmen PGE dalam
mendorong inovasi dan meningkatkan tingkat kandungan
dalam negeri di industri panas bumi melalui manufaktur lokal
komponen utama dan juga jasa pemeliharaan, rekayasa,
konstruksi, dan operasi PLTP.
- Joint Development Agreement (JDA) PGE dan PT Elnusa
Tbk dan Multifab untuk pengembangan dan manufaktur
komponen heat exchanger.
- JDA antara PGE dan PT Pertamina Maintenance and
Construction terkait jasa Operation & Maintenance.
- JDA antara PGE dan PT PGAS Solution Tbk yang berfokus
pada jasa engineering, procurement, construction, and
commissioning (EPCC) sektor panas bumi.
- Perjanjian lisensi teknologi Flow2Max antara PGE dan PT
Sigma Cipta Utama. PGE mengembangkan teknologi

Flow2Max untuk memantau kinerja sumur panas bumi secara
akurat dan real time sehingga meningkatkan efisiensi dalam
pengelolaan reservoir atau sumber daya panas bumi.
- MoU antara PGE dan Star Energy Geothermal untuk
memperkuat kerja sama layanan laboratorium.
- Kerja sama PGE dan PT Aimtopindo Nuansa Kimia terkait
pengembangan H2S Abatement pada emisi Non-Condensable
Gases (NCG) di PLTP dan CO2 Liquefaction.
Julfi Hadi menambahkan, selain untuk mendorong akselerasi
pengembangan energi panas bumi, kolaborasi antar-
pemangku kepentingan yang dilakukan PGE ini merupakan
langkah strategis untuk menciptakan sumber pendapatan baru
(new revenue stream). Berbagai inisiatif ini juga memperkuat
peran PGE dalam menciptakan dampak positif di seluruh
ekosistem panas bumi yang melampaui sekadar
ketenagalistrikan (beyond electricity).
Selain kerja sama bisnis, sebagai bagian dari komitmen dalam
pengembangan sumber daya manusia sektor panas bumi,
PGE juga menandatangani Letter of Understanding (LoU)
bersama dengan Universitas Pertamina dan University of
Auckland untuk peningkatan kapasitas karyawan perusahaan.
Julfi Hadi mengapresiasi antusiasme para mitra dalam bekerja
sama dengan PGE. Berbagai kerja sama ini dapat terlaksana
bukan hanya karena kemampuan dan kredibilitas PGE dalam
memimpin pengembangan panas bumi, tetapi juga karena
kesadaran seluruh pihak terhadap pentingnya kolaborasi lintas
sektor. Pelaku industri kini membuka pintu berkolaborasi untuk
menciptakan ekosistem panas bumi yang ideal dan mengatasi
tantangan yang ada. Kolaborasi adalah kunci untuk
mempercepat pengembangan energi panas bumi untuk
mendukung agenda transisi energi nasional dan pencapaian
target net zero emission pada 2060.

Description of Material Information or Inter-stakeholder collaboration is one of the main keys to
Facts accelerating the development of geothermal energy in
Indonesia. As the main driver of geothermal energy
development, PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGE)
strengthens collaboration through various strategic
cooperation with various partners and key stakeholders at the
Indonesia International Geothermal Convention & Exhibition
(IIGCE) 2024.
PGE President Director Julfi Hadi emphasized that success in
geothermal energy development is highly dependent on
collaboration with stakeholders and the right technological
innovations. PGE as the main engine of geothermal sector
development is committed to synergizing with various parties.
Through collaboration and the latest technology, we can
maximize Indonesia's geothermal energy potential, answering
global challenges towards clean and environmentally friendly
energy, said Julfi Hadi.
On the first day of IIGCE 2024 (18/9), PGE signed two
strategic partnerships related to geothermal project
development, including:
Consortium Agreement of Co-generation Cooperation between
PGE and PT PLN Indonesia Power. The cooperation, whose
signing was witnessed by Minister of Energy and Mineral
Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, President Director of PT
Pertamina (Persero) Nicke Widyawati, and President Director
of PT PLN (Persero) Darmawan Prasodjo, aims to increase the
existing capacity of several PGE geothermal power plants
(PLTP) through the co-generation process, which has the
potential to increase capacity to 230 MW. The initial phase of
co-generation cooperation will add 45 MW of capacity, namely
at the Lahendong Binary Unit (15 MW) and Ulubelu Binary Unit
(30 MW) with an investment of USD 165 million.
A memorandum of understanding (MoU) between PGE and
Geothermal Development Company (GDC), a business entity
owned by the Government of Kenya. PGE and GDC are
collaborating to explore the development of the Suswa
geothermal field. This project in Kenya has a potential capacity
of up to 100 MW.
On the second day of IIGCE 2024 (19/9), PGE also signed a
number of collaborations to create a leading manufacturing,
services, and technology ecosystem in the geothermal
industry. This is in line with PGE's commitment to encourage
innovation and increase the level of domestic content in the
geothermal industry through local manufacturing of key
components as well as maintenance, engineering,
construction, and operation services.
- Joint Development Agreement (JDA) between PGE and PT
Elnusa Tbk and Multifab for the development and
manufacturing of heat exchanger components.
- JDA between PGE and PT Pertamina Maintenance and
Construction related to Operation & Maintenance services.
- JDA between PGE and PT PGAS Solution Tbk focusing on
engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning
(EPCC) services in the geothermal sector.
- Flow2Max technology license agreement between PGE and
PT Sigma Cipta Utama. PGE developed Flow2Max technology
to monitor geothermal well performance accurately and in real

time, thereby increasing efficiency in reservoir or geothermal
resource management.
- MoU between PGE and Star Energy Geothermal to
strengthen laboratory services cooperation.
- Cooperation between PGE and PT Aimtopindo Nuansa Kimia
regarding the development of H2S Abatement in Non-
Condensable Gases (NCG) emissions in PLTP and CO2
Liquefaction.
Julfi Hadi added, in addition to encouraging the acceleration of
geothermal energy development, PGE's collaboration between
stakeholders is a strategic step to create new revenue
streams. These initiatives also strengthen PGE's role in
creating positive impacts across the geothermal ecosystem
that go beyond electricity.
In addition to business cooperation, as part of its commitment
to human resource development in the geothermal sector,
PGE also signed a Letter of Understanding (LoU) with
Pertamina University and the University of Auckland for
capacity building of company employees.
Julfi Hadi appreciated the enthusiasm of the partners in
working with PGE. These collaborations are possible not only
because of PGE's capability and credibility in leading
geothermal development, but also because of all parties'
awareness of the importance of cross-sector collaboration.
Industry players are now opening the door to collaborate to
create an ideal geothermal ecosystem and overcome existing
challenges. Collaboration is the key to accelerating geothermal
energy development to support the national energy transition
agenda and the achievement of the net zero emission target
by 2060.
