Uraian Informasi atau Fakta Material PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGE) mengambil
langkah signifikan dalam mempercepat transisi energi di
Indonesia melalui kemitraan strategis dengan Nippon Export
and Investment Insurance (NEXI), perusahaan asuransi milik
pemerintah Jepang. Kerja sama ini diharapkan dapat menarik
lebih banyak investasi ke sektor panas bumi, terutama
pengembangan proyek panas bumi oleh PGE.
Kerja sama ini ditandai dengan penandatanganan Nota
Kesepahaman (Memorandum of Understanding/MoU) untuk
jaminan asuransi pendanaan proyek-proyek dekarbonisasi
dalam upaya akselerasi transisi energi bersih.
Penandatanganan ini dilakukan di Grha Pertamina pada
tanggal 20 Agustus 2024 oleh Direktur Utama PGE Julfi Hadi
dan Senior Managing Executive Officer NEXI Kazuki Hondo.
Melalui Nota Kesepahaman ini, PGE dan NEXI berkomitmen
untuk memperkuat kerja sama dalam mendukung
pengembangan proyek-proyek energi panas bumi di Indonesia
melalui penggunaan layanan asuransi pinjaman dari NEXI
yang diharapkan dapat membuka peluang besar dalam
percepatan transisi energi bersih di Indonesia. Salah satu
peluang yang disoroti dalam kesepakatan tersebut adalah
jaminan asuransi pembiayaan untuk proyek Lahendong 7 & 8.
Selain itu, kerja sama ini juga diharapkan dapat memperkuat
hubungan antara Indonesia dan Jepang, serta membuka
peluang investasi baru di sektor energi terbarukan di bawah
payung Asia Zero Emissions Community (AZEC), platform
kolaborasi internasional yang memiliki visi akselerasi
dekarbonisasi di Asia yang selaras dengan pertumbuhan
ekonomi dan ketahanan energi. Peluang investasi ini termasuk
dalam hal penerapan teknologi panas bumi Jepang yang
dapat mengoptimalisasi produksi energi panas bumi di
Indonesia.
Direktur Keuangan PT Pertamina (Persero) Emma Sri Martini
menekankan pentingnya kesepakatan ini dalam
pengembangan proyek-proyek Pertamina, Mengeksplorasi
manfaat asuransi pinjaman adalah hal penting bagi Pertamina
guna mengurangi risiko pendanaan dalam proyek-proyek
energi berskala besar. Integrasi asuransi bisnis dan fasilitas
kredit dari NEXI memberikan perlindungan sehingga kami
dapat memperoleh pembiayaan dengan persyaratan yang
lebih ringan. Hal ini tidak hanya mengurangi risiko finansial,
tetapi juga memperkuat kepercayaan investor untuk
berinvestasi dalam berbagai inisiatif transisi energi. Kolaborasi
dengan NEXI adalah wujud pendekatan proaktif kami dalam
memastikan kekuatan finansial proyek-proyek Pertamina
sekaligus bergerak menuju masa depan energi yang
berkelanjutan, ujar Emma.
Direktur Utama PGE, Julfi Hadi menyatakan, Kolaborasi ini
sejalan dengan komitmen kami dalam menyediakan solusi
energi berkelanjutan. Dengan memanfaatkan solusi asuransi
pinjaman NEXI untuk proyek-proyek dekarbonisasi, PGE
mendorong inovasi dalam pengembangan energi panas bumi
sekaligus mendukung visi dekarbonisasi dari Asia Zero
Emissions Community (AZEC), tutur Julfi.
NEXI selama ini aktif memberikan solusi asuransi untuk
berbagai proyek infrastruktur, pengembangan energi
terbarukan, dan proyek dekarbonisasi. Penandatanganan Nota

Kesepahaman dengan NEXI merupakan langkah signifikan
untuk membuat investasi pada berbagai proyek
pengembangan panas bumi PGE menjadi lebih menarik.
Dengan dukungan asuransi dari NEXI, PGE dapat
menawarkan jaminan kepada investor asing, sehingga
semakin meningkatkan kepercayaan dan minat untuk
berinvestasi dalam proyekproyek panas bumi di Indonesia.
PGE saat ini mengelola 15 Wilayah Kerja Panas bumi (WKP)
dengan kapasitas terpasang sebesar 1.877,5 MW, terbagi
1.205 MW dikelola dengan skema Kontrak Operasi Bersama
dan 672,5 MW yang dioperasikan dan dikelola langsung oleh
PGE, dengan target penambahan kapasitas menjadi 1 GW
dalam dua tahun ke depan. Melalui berbagai kerja sama
strategis, PGE secara aktif berkontribusi dalam mewujudkan
masa depan energi yang lebih bersih dan berkelanjutan,
sejalan dengan komitmennya sebagai perusahaan energi hijau
kelas dunia.

Description of Material Information or PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGE) is taking a
Facts significant step in accelerating Indonesia's energy transition
through a strategic partnership with Nippon Export and
Investment Insurance (NEXI), a Japanese government-owned
insurance company. The partnership is expected to attract
more investment into the geothermal sector, especially the
development of geothermal projects by PGE.
The cooperation was marked by the signing of a Memorandum
of Understanding (MoU) for insurance coverage of funding for
decarbonization projects in an effort to accelerate the clean
energy transition. The signing was carried out at Grha
Pertamina on August 20, 2024 by PGE President Director Julfi
Hadi and NEXI Senior Managing Executive Officer of NEXI
Kazuki Hondo.
Through this Memorandum of Understanding, PGE and NEXI
are committed to strengthening cooperation in supporting the
development of geothermal energy projects in Indonesia
through the use of NEXI's loan insurance services which are
expected to open up great opportunities in accelerating the
clean energy transition. great opportunities in accelerating
Indonesia's clean energy transition. One of the opportunities
highlighted in the agreement is the financing insurance
guarantee for the Lahendong 7 & 8 project.
In addition, this cooperation is also expected to strengthen
relations between Indonesia and Japan, as well as open up
new investment opportunities in the renewable energy sector
under the umbrella of the Asia Zero Emissions Community
(AZEC), an international collaboration platform that has a
vision of accelerating decarbonization in Asia in harmony with
economic growth and energy security. This investment
opportunity includes the application of Japanese geothermal
technology that can optimize geothermal energy production in
Indonesia.
PT Pertamina (Persero) Finance Director Emma Sri Martini
emphasized the importance of this agreement in the
development of of this deal in the development of Pertamina's
projects, exploring the

solutions. By utilizing NEXI's loan insurance solutions for
decarbonization projects, PGE encourages innovation in
geothermal energy development while supporting the
decarbonization vision of the Asia Zero Emissions Community
(AZEC), said Julfi.
NEXI has been actively providing insurance solutions for
various infrastructure projects, renewable energy

development, and decarbonization projects. Signing of
Memorandum of The MoU with NEXI is a significant step
towards making investments in PGE's various geothermal
development projects more attractive. With insurance support
from NEXI, PGE can offer guarantees to foreign investors,
thereby further increasing confidence and interest in investing
in geothermal projects in Indonesia.
PGE currently manages 15 Geothermal Working Areas (WKP)
with an installed capacity of 1,877.5 MW, divided into 1,205
MW managed under the Joint Operation Contract scheme and
672.5 MW operated and managed directly by PGE, with a
target of increasing capacity to 1 GW in the next two years.
Through various strategic partnerships, PGE actively
contributes to realizing a cleaner and more sustainable energy
future, in line with its commitment as a world-class green
energy company.
