Uraian Informasi atau Fakta Material PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGE) (IDX: PGEO)
aktif membangun kolaborasi dengan berbagai pihak untuk
mengembangkan potensi energi panas bumi sebagai tulang
punggung transisi energi nasional. Bersama dengan PT
Elnusa Tbk (Elnusa), PT PGAS Solution (PGASOL), dan PT
Pertamina Maintenance and Construction, (PertaMC), PGE
melaksanakan Joint Study Agreement (JSA) untuk
mengembangkan solusi teknologi termasuk peluang untuk
produksi dalam negeri sejumlah komponen utama pembangkit
listrik panas bumi.
Penandatanganan JSA Geothermal Center of Excellence yang
dilakukan pada Kamis, 27 Juni 2024, di Graha Pertamina,
Jakarta, ini dihadiri oleh Direktur Strategi, Portofolio, dan
Pengembangan Usaha PT Pertamina (Persero) A. Salyadi
Saputra, Direktur Utama Pertamina New and Renewable
Energy (PNRE) John Anis Direktur Utama PGE Julfi Hadi,
Direktur Keuangan Elnusa Stanley Iriawan mewakili Direktur
Utama Elnusa, Direktur Utama PGASOL Sabaruddin, dan
Direktur Utama PertaMC Andry Widiasti. Kehadiran secara
langsung para pucuk pimpinan perusahaan yang
berkolaborasi menunjukkan pentingnya JSA yang akan
memfasilitasi diskusi, kajian, wadah tukar informasi, serta studi
bersama untuk pengembangan energi panas bumi ini.
Direktur Strategi, Portofolio, dan Pengembangan Usaha PT
Pertamina (Persero) A. Salyadi Saputra mengapresiasi
kolaborasi strategis untuk mewujudkan geothermal center of
excellence sebagai penyedia solusi teknologi panas bumi di
Indonesia. Ini merupakan inisiatif sangat strategis bagi
Pertamina yang sudah lebih dari 40 tahun mengelola panas
bumi di Indonesia. Kerja sama ini diharapkan akan
mendukung PGE untuk mencapai visi menjadi world class
green energy company with the largest geothermal capacity
globally, kata A. Salyadi Saputra.
Direktur Utama Pertamina New and Renewable Energy
(PNRE) John Anis menambahkan bahwa energi baru dan
terbarukan, terutama panas bumi yang dikelola oleh PGE,
merupakan masa depan bagi bisnis Pertamina maupun
Indonesia. Pengembangan energi panas bumi menghadapi
banyak tantangan dan salah satu solusinya adalah dengan
efisiensi agar tetap kompetitif. Upaya menghadirkan center of
excellence ke Indonesia akan membantu PGE menjadi lebih
efisien dalam mengembangkan panas bumi.
Direktur Utama PGE Julfi Hadi menerangkan bahwa
penandatanganan JSA ini merupakan langkah strategis bagi
PGE dan mitranya dalam mengoptimalkan pengembangan
energi panas bumi dengan memanfaatkan kemampuan
industri dan keahlian teknologi dalam negeri. Inisiatif ini
merupakan usaha luar biasa yang patut diapresiasi bersama
karena ke depannya akan ada inovasi dan beragam kolaborasi
lain untuk menciptakan portofolio teknologi di energi
terbarukan secara masif dan terintegrasi. Kami optimistis
terhadap potensi besar panas bumi menjadi motor penggerak
dalam mengakselerasi transisi menuju energi bersih, kata Julfi
Hadi.
JSA ini meliputi, namun tidak terbatas pada, studi bersama
terkait potensi pengembangan portofolio bisnis yang

melingkup: 1) heat exchanger manufacturer, 2) geothermal operation and maintenance service, 3) cooling tower manufacturer, dan 4) EPCC and pipeline construction. Direktur Utama Elnusa Bachtiar Soeria Atmadja menyampaikan kerja sama Elnusa dengan PGE saat ini bukanlah yang pertama, untuk itu Elnusa sangat menyambut baik dan siap mendukung serta berkontribusi dalam pengembangan industri panas bumi. Sinergi dan kolaborasi ini mencerminkan komitmen Elnusa untuk terus berinovasi dan memberikan kontribusi yang berarti dalam sektor energi baru terbarukan dalam hal ini Geothermal Center of Excellence, ujar Bachtiar. Direktur Utama PGASOL Sabaruddin juga menyampaikan Konversi energi merupakan sebuah tugas baru untuk kita semua. Untuk itu, saya sangat mengapresiasi sinergi penuh manfaat ini. Kami akan terus optimis dan memberikan dukungan bagi negeri terkait inovasi pada aspek transisi energi nasional, dan salah satunya melalui studi bersama ini. Direktur Utama PT PertaMC Andry Widiasti menyatakan siap mendukung dan berkolaborasi untuk pengembangan energi panas bumi PGE melalui sinergi Group Pertamina. PertaMC yang merupakan Subsidiary PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Subholding Commercial & Trading (C&T) yang berfokus pada Maintenance, Construction, Plant Services termasuk Inspeksi Teknis dan Manpower Supply serta Consulting, yang melayani seluruh lini bisnis di Pertamina. Tidak hanya itu saja, dukungan PertaMC tidak hanya mendukung produksi BBM dan Gas tetapi juga pada dukungan produksi energi baru terbarukan sebagai bentuk kontribusi pada penurunan Net Zero Emission. Oleh sebab itu, PertaMC senantiasa memantapkan komitmen sebagai mitra yang terpercaya dan handal bagi para pemangku kepentingan, dengan terus menciptakan nilai yang berkesinambungan, meningkatkan dan mengembangkan kompetensi dan bisnis Perusahaan untuk menciptakan Pertamina Beyond Synergy. tutur Andry. Kerja sama ini juga merupakan inisiatif PGE sebagai garda terdepan Pertamina dalam transisi energi nasional. JSA akan mendorong pemanfaatan potensi kemampuan manufaktur perusahan energi dan rekayasa teknik (engineering) dalam negeri dalam menciptakan ekosistem baru dan terdepan di sektor panas bumi, terutama membuat pengembangan panas bumi menjadi lebih terjangkau. Sampai saat ini, sebagian besar teknologi yang digunakan untuk pengembangan panas bumi masih diimpor. Tak hanya itu, JSA merupakan terobosan untuk mendiversifikasi model bisnis dan menciptakan value creation dari teknologi panas bumi melalui new revenue stream, mengeksplorasi potensi bisnis selain ketenagalistrikan (beyond electricity). Dengan sinergi bersama Pertamina Group, PGE meyakini ekspansi untuk menciptakan geothermal future revenue stream dapat meningkatkan keunggulan kompetitif, mendorong inovasi, dan commercial attractiveness. Julfi Hadi menegaskan, sebagai perusahaan energi hijau kelas dunia, PGE terus berinovasi dan menjalin kolaborasi bersama dengan para mitra untuk memajukan sektor panas bumi. Panas bumi merupakan sumber energi yang hampir nol emisi

dengan potensi melimpah, khususnya di berbagai Wilayah
Kerja Panas Bumi (WKP) PGE dengan potensi yang bisa
dikembangkan hingga 3 GW. Potensi panas bumi harus terus
dikembangkan sehingga bisa berperan besar dalam transisi
energi, pungkas Julfi Hadi.

Facts actively builds collaboration with various parties to develop the
potential of geothermal energy as the backbone of the national
energy transition. Together with PT Elnusa Tbk (Elnusa), PT
PGAS Solution (PGASOL), and PT Pertamina Maintenance
and Construction, (PertaMC), PGE executed a Joint Study
Agreement (JSA) to develop technology solutions including
opportunities for domestic production of a number of key
components of geothermal power plants.
The signing of the Geothermal Center of Excellence JSA on
Thursday, June 27, 2024, at Graha Pertamina, Jakarta, was
attended by PT Pertamina (Persero) Director of Strategy,
Portfolio and Business Development A. Salyadi Saputra,
Pertamina New and Renewable Energy (PNRE) President
Director John Anis PGE President Director Julfi Hadi, Elnusa
Finance Director Stanley Iriawan representing Elnusa
President Director, PGASOL President Director Sabaruddin,
and PertaMC President Director Andry Widiasti. The direct
presence of the leaders of the collaborating companies shows
the importance of the JSA which will facilitate discussions,
studies, information exchange platforms, and joint studies for
the development of geothermal energy.
PT Pertamina (Persero) Director of Strategy, Portfolio and
Business Development A. Salyadi Saputra appreciated the
strategic collaboration to create a geothermal center of
excellence as a geothermal technology solution provider in
Indonesia. "This is a very strategic initiative for Pertamina,
which has been managing geothermal in Indonesia for more
than 40 years. This cooperation is expected to support PGE to
achieve the vision of becoming a world class green energy
company with the largest geothermal capacity globally," said
A. Salyadi Saputra.
Pertamina New and Renewable Energy (PNRE) President
Director John Anis added that new and renewable energy,
especially geothermal energy managed by PGE, is the future
of Pertamina's and Indonesia's business. "Geothermal energy
development faces many challenges and one of the solutions
is efficiency to remain competitive. Bringing a center of
excellence to Indonesia will help PGE become more efficient in
developing geothermal energy."
PGE President Director Julfi Hadi explained that the signing of
this JSA is a strategic step for PGE and its partners in
optimizing geothermal energy development by utilizing
domestic industrial capabilities and technological expertise.
"This initiative is an extraordinary effort that should be
appreciated together because in the future there will be
innovations and various other collaborations to create a
technology portfolio in renewable energy in a massive and
integrated manner.We are optimistic about the great potential
of geothermal to become a driving force in accelerating the
transition to clean energy," said Julfi Hadi.
This JSA includes, but is not limited to, joint studies on the
potential development of business portfolios covering:1) heat
exchanger manufacturer, 2) geothermal operation and
maintenance service, 3) cooling tower manufacturer, and
4)EPCC and pipeline construction.
Elnusa President Director Bachtiar Soeria Atmadja said that

Elnusa's current collaboration with PGE is not the first, for that Elnusa is very welcoming and ready to support and contribute to the development of the geothermal industry. "This synergy and collaboration reflects Elnusa's commitment to continue to innovate and make a meaningful contribution in the renewable energy sector, in this case the Geothermal Center of Excellence," said Bachtiar. PGASOL President Director Sabaruddin also said "Energy conversion is a new task for all of us. For this reason, I really appreciate this beneficial synergy. We will continue to be optimistic and provide support for the country regarding innovation in the aspect of national energy transition, and one of them is through this joint study." PT PertaMC President Director Andry Widiasti stated that he is ready to support and collaborate for PGE's geothermal energy development through the synergy of Pertamina Group. "PertaMC, which is a Subsidiary of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Subholding Commercial & Trading (C&T) that focuses on Maintenance, Construction, Plant Services including Technical Inspection and Manpower Supply and Consulting, which serves all lines of business at Pertamina. Not only that, PertaMC's support not only supports the production of BBM and Gas but also supports the production of new renewable energy as a form of contribution to the reduction of Net Zero Emission.Therefore, PertaMC always strengthens its commitment as a trusted and reliable partner for stakeholders, by continuing to create sustainable value, improve and develop the Company's competencies and business to create Pertamina Beyond Synergy." said Andry. This cooperation is also an initiative of PGE as Pertamina's frontline in the national energy transition. The JSA will encourage the utilization of the potential manufacturing capabilities of domestic energy and engineering companies in creating a new and leading ecosystem in the geothermal sector, especially making geothermal development more affordable. To date, most of the technology used for geothermal development is still imported. Not only that, JSA is a breakthrough to diversify business models and create value creation from geothermal technology through new revenue streams, exploring business potential beyond electricity. By synergizing with Pertamina Group, PGE believes the expansion to create geothermal future revenue streams can increase competitive advantage, encourage innovation, and commercial attractiveness. Julfi Hadi emphasized that as a world-class green energy company, PGE continues to innovate and collaborate with partners to advance the geothermal sector. "Geothermal is an almost zero-emission energy source with abundant potential, especially in various PGE Geothermal Working Areas (WKP) with potential that can be developed up to 3 GW. Geothermal potential must continue to be developed so that it can play a major role in the energy transition," Julfi Hadi concluded.
