Bumi Group Wins 9 Best Awards at Corporate Social Responsibility and
Sustainable Village Development Awards 2024 Conferred by Vice
President of The Republic of Indonesia

PT Bumi Resources Tbk., (“BUMI” or “The Company”) through its business units, namely PT Arutmin
Indonesia (“Arutmin”) and PT Kaltim Prima Coal (“KPC”), succeeded in getting the best award at the
Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainable Village Development Awards 2024 organized by the
Ministry of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration of the Republic of
Indonesia at The Westin Hotel Jakarta, Tuesday (7/5). The awards were directly handed over by Vice
President of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Prof. Dr. K.H. Ma'ruf Amin.
Arutmin awards for all operational areas won 5 (five) Gold awards, namely:
a. Asamasam Mine with the Wanda Permata (Permata Empowered Women) program,
b. Kintap Mine with the Kokimantera Empowerment program (Kintap Mandiri Sejahtera Cooperative)
Realizing Village Economic Equality and Sustainability,
c. Satui Mine with the BUM Desa Bersama Bintang Lima program,
d. Batulicin Mine with the Kasturi PPM Center Training Center program, and
e. Senakin Mine through the Tanah Rata Village Community-Based Economic Potential Development
Program Towards an Independent Village.
KPC awards include 2 Gold awards, 1 Silver award, and 1 Excellent award, as follows:
a. Wanita-Wanita Tangguh Hadirkan Iklim Teduh (Resilient Women provide a calm climate) – located
at North Sangatta District, received Gold award.
b. Semangat Kampung Beragam untuk Dapatkan Cintanya Alam - The Spirit of Various Villages to
Get the Love of Nature – located at North Sangatta District, received Gold award.
c. Digitalisasi Layanan PAMDes Lejitkan Kinerja BumDesa (Digitalization of PAMDes services
boosts BumDesa's performance) – located at Tepian Makmur Village, Rantau Pulung District,
received Silver award, and
d. Local Hero, in the name of Rahmad Hidayat Optimization of BumDesa through the work of Village
youth - Director of BUMDESA Makmur Sejahtera – located at Tepian Makmur Village, Rantau
Pulung District, received the Excellent award.

President Director of PT Bumi Resources Tbk., Mr. Adika Nuraga Bakrie stated, “The Company
expresses its gratitude for the prestigious Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainable Village
Development Awards 2024 from the Ministry of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions and
Transmigration of the Republic of Indonesia. These awards proved the Company's commitment to
always provide added value and help accelerate the economy of the community and environment in
which the Company operates.”
He added that, ”BUMI and all its subsidiaries will continue to contribute to the country, and that all
CSR programs which have been prepared represent the Company's priorities in supporting the
Government's development activities.”
This year's awards event was attended by 100 companies consisting of various agencies, such as BUMN
(State-owned companies), BUMS (Private-owned companies), and BUMDes (Village-owned
businesses) which were initiated by ISSF (Indonesia Social Sustainability Forum) and the Ministry of
Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration (Kemendes PDTT).
This activity is a form of appreciation to companies who always strive to build and develop villages
around their operational areas.
The assessment stage in this activity begins with sending documents on the Community Development
and Empowerment programs that have been or are being implemented by the Company, followed by
verification and assessment of the suitability of the documents, and if deemed fit and proper, an online
test or presentation of the proposed programs will be carried out to the assessment team.
Furthermore, if the program has been verified and passed the assessment standards set by the assessment
team, verification will be carried out directly in the field. Field verification was carried out on March
2024 which included visits to Arutmin and KPC mines.
