Steps that have been taken and emission reductions that have been achieved compared to the previous year
The Company implemented fuel-saving measures for its vessels as a way to reduce emissions from its shipping
operations. More efficient fuel consumption will result in smaller emissions emitted into the air.
To save fuel consumption for its vessels, the Company has optimized engines and propulsion by implementing
Engine Power Limitation (EPL) to make the engines operate as required. The Company also limited vessel
speed to save fuel.
The Company conducted regular maintenance on its fleet. Through the periodic maintenance, the Company kept
the hull, cargo tanks, various pumps, filters, propellers, and other vessel components clean, ensuring that fuel
consumption remained optimal for the vessels.
The Company used high-quality and efficient fuels such as LSFO (Low Sulphur Fuel Oil) and LSMGO (Low
Sulphur Marine Gas Oil) for its fleet. LSFO and LSMGO are lighter and more combustible, hence for the same
voyage distance it required fewer amount of fuel consumption. The Company also made sure that the fuel quality
used was compatible with the vessels engine specifications which made more efficient combustion and fuel
savings. In addition, the Company used biofuel of which characteristic is closed carbon cycle (carbon-neutral) as
fuel, for its vessels.
The Company monitored and tracked its vessel performance as it implements the Ship Energy Efficiency
Management Plan Part III (SEEMP Part III). The Company monitored its fuel consumption and emissions and
improved the identified inefficient area to be determined the possible action can be taken for emission
reductions.
