BUMI CITED AS TOP ESG RATING & EXAMPLE OF HUMAN
RIGHTS IMPLEMENTATION BY INDONESIAN GOVERNMENT
AT UN ANNUAL SESSION

PT Bumi Resources Tbk. (“BUMI” or “Company”) serves as one of the good examples mentioned
in the dialogue session between the Indonesian Government and the United Nations (UN) Economic,
Social and Cultural Rights Committee. In the dialogue session held at Palais Wilson, Geneva,
Switzerland (20/2), BUMI was said to have succeeded in increasing its Environmental, Social and
Governance (ESG) score significantly thanks to Human Rights Due Diligence based on The United
Nations Guiding Principles(UNGP) on Business and Human Rights and Business and Human Rights
Risk Assessment (PRISMA) organized by the Indonesian Ministry of Law and Human Rights.

Director of Human Rights Instruments, Farid Junaedi, who was also the Indonesian delegate at UN
Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (CESCR), revealed that BUMI was a company
that was able to increase its ESG score for Social aspects on Bloomberg ESG by 18% from the
implementation of the Human Rights Due Diligence and PRISMA Assessment in the previous year.

On another occasion, Director General of Human Rights Dhahana Putra extended high appreciation
for the efforts that BUMI has made to continue improving the implementation of human rights in
its business activities. According to Dhahana, what BUMI has done is actually in line with the
mandate of Presidential Regulation No. 60 of 2023 concerning the National Strategy for Business
and Human Rights. "We believe that BUMI's implementation of business and human rights can
increase business competitiveness at the global level," explained Dhahana.

President Director of PT Bumi Resources Tbk., Adika Nuraga Bakrie said, “BUMI upholds the
principles of business respect for human rights. "The Company has twice in the last two years carried
out human rights due diligence by independent parties in all its operational areas as a form of our
commitment.”

Aga further said, ”as a form of continuous improvement, the Company is always looking for ways
to improve its policy and complaint mechanism, through human rights due diligence, PRISMA and
other mechanisms. The Company always tries to be proactive to minimize potential problems before
they arise.”

Mr. Aga added, “Apart from that, BUMI also upholds the principles of occupational health and
safety, especially in mining operations as well as freedom of association for its employees.”
