Excellent Human Capital as a Pillar of Energy Resilience: Elnusa's Strategy to
Navigate the Dynamics of the Energy Industry
Jakarta, July 24, 2025 – Amid the increasingly complex challenges of the upstream oil and gas industry, PT Elnusa Tbk (ELNUSA, IDX: ELSA),
a subsidiary of PT Pertamina Hulu Energi under Pertamina's Upstream Subholding, continues to strengthen its human capital management
as a key foundation for business sustainability.
Elnusa’s Director of Human Capital & General Affairs, Hera Handayani, emphasized that technological advancement must be accompanied
by robust human capital development. According to her, Elnusa’s workforce must possess strong problem-solving abilities and in-depth
understanding of both technical and operational field challenges. "The key lies in having human capital that is not only technically proficient
but also equipped with soft skills and sharpened analytical capabilities. Therefore, we continue to conduct training programs that enhance
both technical and behavioral competencies,” Hera stated.
As tangible evidence of its Human Capital strategy success, Elnusa recently earned recognition at the Indonesia HR Excellence Award 2025
organized by SWA Media Group. Elnusa was awarded the “Very Good” predicate in three categories: Learning & Development, Reward
Management & Talent Retention Strategy, and Wellbeing Management.
Elnusa was recognized for its integrated programs that align with business strategies, respond to current industry challenges, and deliver
measurable impact to both employees and the organization. Scoring over 85 in each category, Elnusa rightfully earned this recognition,
reaffirming its commitment to building a relevant, impactful, and sustainable human capital system.
Hera also highlighted the importance of cultivating harmonious employee relations as a long-term investment. "From day one, our
employees Elnusa’s warriors are equipped with various development programs that go beyond technical expertise, focusing as well on
behavioral development and analytical skills. This ensures our people are prepared to face the evolving dynamics of the industry,” she
explained.
With an adaptive, tech-oriented, and continuous learning-based human capital strategy, Elnusa remains optimistic about enhancing its
competitiveness in the upstream oil and gas sector while contributing to the government’s Asta Cita vision of achieving national energy
self-sufficiency.
