PT BUKIT ASAM TBK
PERFORMANCE ANNOUNCEMENT AS OF 31 DECEMBER 2023

Supported by Operational Performance,
Bukit Asam (PTBA) Achieves Net Profit of IDR 6.1 Trillion in 2023

Jakarta, March 8 2024 - PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA), a member of the MIND ID
Mining BUMN Holding, continued to perform well in 2023.

The company earned revenue of IDR 38.5 trillion and IDR 9.2 trillion in gross
profit. After deducting operating costs, PTBA earned a net profit of IDR 6.1
trillion. As of December 31, 2023, the total assets of the company were IDR 38.8
trillion.

Over the course of 2023, PTBA was successful in improving operational
performance. From January to December 2023, PTBA produced 41.9 million
tons of coal overall, a 134 increase from 371 million tons in 2022. This
production accomplishment surpassed the initial 2023 target of 41 million tons.

Following this rise in output, coal sales volume increased to 37.0 million tonnes,
a17 percent increase over the previous year. With 15.6 million tons of export
sales, the company saw a 25X increase in sales over 2022. In the meantime,
domestic sales increased by 1246 year over year to 21.4 million tons.

This year, the company will face difficulties from changes in the market and
adjustments in the price of coal. From January to December 2022, the average
ICI-3 coal price was corrected by approximately 34 percent, from USD 127.8
per ton to USD 84.8 per ton annually. In the meantime, components of mining
services, rail transportation, and royalty fees increased in the Cost of Goods
Sold.

Therefore, PTBA continues to strive to maximize domestic market potential as
well as export opportunities to maintain good performance. The company also
consistently prioritizes cost leadership in every line of the company, so that
sustainable efficiency implementation can be carried out optimally.

Apart from that, the Company hopes that the formation of a Management
Agency Partner (MIP) can be realized soon and will have a good impact on
PTBA's financial performance.

Company Target 2024

Observing recent market developments and projecting various dynamic factors
are how the Company goes about its planning. The 2024 coal production, sales,
and transportation targets set by PTBA are 41.3 million tons, 43.1 million tons,
and 33.7 million tons, respectively.

Development Project Progress

Coal Downstreaming

The PTBA is dedicated to promoting public policies that uphold national energy
security and promote coal downstreaming. Cooperation was formed with
different stakeholders to promote higher coal added value. This involves
working together with different universities and the National Research &
Innovation Agency (BRIN).

In cooperation with possible partners, the company has donated land for the
growth of downstream industries. To ensure that the downstream industry's
coal needs are met, PTBA has also set aside special coal reserves for
downstream projects.

Electric steam generating station
Beginning on October 7, 2023, the Sumsel-8 Mine Mouth Steam Power Plant
(2x660 MW) has achieved Commercial Operation Date (COD) status.

Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) technology is used by this PLTU to minimize
exhaust gas emissions, and Supercritical Steam Generator technology is
utilized for efficiency and environmental safety. Additionally referred to as
PLTU Tanjung Lalang, this plant provides PLN with electricity for use in the
Sumatran Electricity System for public purposes.

Development of Renewable Energy

Globally, energy transitions are occurring. The government has set a target of
Net Zero Emission by 2060. PTBA also aspires to become a global energy
company that cares for the environment. Thus, business diversification into the
emerging and new energy sector (EBT) is carried out.

As of right now, Perseroan has built PLTS in Soekarno-Hatta Sguare in
collaboration with PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero), which has been operating
since October 2020. The aforementioned PLTS is located in the Gedung Airport
Operation Control Center (AOCC) and has a maximum capacity of 241 kWp. In
addition to Angkasa Pura II, PTBA collaborates with Jasa Marga Group on PLTS
development in the tol. The 400 kWp PLTS located on Jalan Tol Bali-Mandara
was successfully built and installed on September 21, 2022.

PTBA is currently also exploring opportunities to develop hydrogen-based EBT,
both for its own needs and to support strengthening the need for partnerships
in PTBA's transportation and production business chain system in the future.

Transportation of Coal Project

Inan effort to enhance the capacity of coal transportation via the Tanjung Enim
- Keramasan railway line, PTBA has begun building a new coal handling facility.
On December 30, 2023, a historic procession was held in Tanjung Enim to
commemorate this.

The building of this facility isa component of PTBA's partnership with PT Kereta
Api Indonesia (Persero), also known as KAI, to develop 20 million tons of annual
capacity coal transportation on the Tanjung Enim - Keramasan link. While PT
Kereta Api Logistik (Kalog) constructed the dock facilities in Keramasan, PT
KAI prepared the infrastructure and facilities for the rail transportation mode.

Carbon Management

Good Mining Practices are implemented by PTBA in conjunction with
decarbonization programs to assist the Government in reaching the Net Zero
Emission target by 2060.

The entire reclamation area of PTBA as of December 2023 is 2,222.08 hectares
(ha). 5,199.18 ha will be the total area available for Watershed Areas (DAS)
rehabilitation as of December 2023.

In addition to land revegetation, PTBA has put in place several initiatives to
help with decarbonization. Operationally, the company uses Eco Mechanized
Mining, which substitutes electricity for fossil fuel-powered mining eguipment.
A 100-ton class hybrid diesel and electric dump truck, an electric mining pump,
and a PC-3000 shovel electric excavator are a few of the electricity-powered
eguipment that PTBA has utilized. Additionally, PTBA has run electric buses at
Tanjung Enim Mining Unit and Tarahan Port.

In addition, the company uses the E-Mining Reporting System, an online real-
time production reporting system, to reduce the amount of fuel used for
traditional monitoring.

The carbon management roadmap for PTBA through 2060 includes these
decarbonization initiatives, which will be developed and implemented
sustainably across the board in order to achieve the best possible outcomes for
all business divisions.
